Spacious apartment, entire 2nd floor and rooftop (best feature of apartment; perfect for bbq/parties) of an actual house. 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, Laundry room, 4 A/C units, FULLY FURNISHED (beds, desks, bookcases , couches, tables, refrigerator, stove, washing machine, etc). 

NO city taxes (Arnona) or a maintenance fee (Vaad'bayit).

Has been rented to Sackler students for the last 8 years. We've lived here for the last 2 years.
We pay $1350/month, but I do not know the price set for next year. And, the security deposit is negligible (500 NIS/person).

The landlord is laid back and if there is a problem you can walk downstairs and have his grandfather or his Philippine live-in helper deal with it. Problems can reoccur (i.e. faulty electricity) though. The major negative of the place is that although it is extremely close to school, you must factor in an extra 7-8 minute walk to get to the other part of Ramat Aviv.  Another negative is that the house is on the older side, so things break and need to get fixed (a new refrigerator and washing machine have been put in by the landlord while we were living here).

(05-29-08) I'm currently living in a studio in Ramat Aviv Gimmel, close to Shuster center, and it will be available starting in mid July. It's in good condition, the owners are very nice (if there's ever any problems, they immediately take care of it). The place is connected to their main house but you have your own separate entrance.

The place is very quiet, so you can study here without distractions. It's quite spacious for a studio. All furniture and appliances are included in the apartment when you move in, including bed, 2 sofas, huge tv with cable (the owners pay for the cable), 2 large desks, refrigerator, microwave, etc. Also, you dont pay for Arnona and Vad Bayit (all the city taxes).
