Q: How do I add passport pages?

A: You may submit your valid passport for an additional 24 pages. This may be done only twice to your passport before you must apply for a new passport. The service is free. You may leave a self-addressed stamped envelope (about 10₪) for them to mail it back to you. For additional information and the necessary forms visit the US Embassy "Extra Pages for Passport" page.

Q: Which documents do I need to bring to the Iriyah (Municipality) in order to file for a discount on my arnona (city tax)?

A: You need a copy of your rental contract, a copy of promissory notes of current loans for all those listed on the contract, a letter of good standing from the school's office, and forms of identification (e.g. passport). While not all roommates need to have loans to receive a discount, the discount however is calculated on the basis of collective need.

Q: Where do I purchase textbooks?

A: While many of the required textbooks are available at the TAU bookstore, they may be available at a discounted rate at Probook. Probook is located at Strauss 3 in Tel Aviv and can be reached at 03-525-7999. They can take orders over the phone and deliver to the University and most teaching hospitals.

Q: How can I put my cable television service on hold when away for an extended period of time (e.g. summer vacation)?

A: You can put your HOT account on hold for a month by sending a fax of your ticket, demonstrating the period of absence from the country, to 077-707-8810, include a note with the account number and the dates during which the service is to be suspended.
